Web 2.0 Expo in SF

I'll be at the Web 2.0 Expo in San Fran this week, Wed-Friday. Hit me up if you're there and want to talk MachDB or just get a beer!

I've been busy philosophizing with others about the future direction of the MachDB. I have some code to write and some cool new features coming soon. I'll post more after the conference is over.

Hey. If I want to extend machdb with some custom information. Where is the best way yo start. I have a small script that checks if computer cluster nodes are working. I want to collect the status of the different tests and if some is failing I want to display it. Also I want to comment on each failure what has done to correct the error. What I have seen I need to extend the gahtering script and the php parsing and also the mysql. Do you have any tips where to start and how to think?
Hi Hagan. Too bad Blogger didn't tell me about your comment when you left it and I had to run across it by chance months later.

To answer your question...this is a popular requested feature. The next version of MachDB will include support for custom data storage. However, at least initially, it will not track changes to that data. This will still meet the requirement for most of my users and doesn't make MachDB an overly complex beast at the same time. Feel free to send me email me or leave another comment, I'd like to hear more about what you've been using it for. Thanks for the feedback.
